Key Account Manager - Commercial Non-Retail Access Solutions

 

Searching for a Key Account Manager for Commercial Non-Retail Access Solutions, responsible for developing relationships within the airport industry (but not limited to) with both existing and new customers, negotiating contracts and developing opportunities into new business. The successful Sales Manager will have an expertise in communication, demonstrate initiative, assist in developing and driving strategy, and produce results.

 

The Key Account Manager will be a customer advocate internally and will work collectively with product management, operations, product development, and service functions.

Corporate Headquarters in the Charlotte, NC area with this position being remote (home office based) but will require frequent visit to HQ.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Drive for results, meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Identify potential clients with research on the prospective client’s business needs
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients while maintaining existing clients
  • Coordinate resources between competencies (engineering, purchasing, services and other departments) to drive the implementation of product features/requirements
  • Participates in the analysis of risk as part of Risk Management activities as applicable
  • Create contract winning proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Manage multiple project timelines, cost, resources and responsibilities to achieve successful deliverables of programs
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate to stakeholders
  • Management of a sales funnel and consequent monthly revenue forecast
  • Provide subject matter expertise on access solutions and remaining current on other
  • Travel 50% or more

Skills and Experience:

  • Sales and or Marketing background with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience capital improvement projects
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales, experience targeting fortune 500 companies a plus
  • Must be able to influence individual to large groups of decision makers through a consultative approach
  • Strong organizational, planning and program management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including group and executive presentations
  • Ability to lead negotiations including contractual language with the assistance of legal experts
  • Experienced in a “customer facing” environment, but also experienced in video conferencing if needed
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching products or services
  • Work independently and have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must be able to work with a 3rd party partner on details of the industry and transfer knowledge from relationship
