About the Opportunity
A leading metal components manufacturer is seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join their growing team. They are renowned for their commitment to quality, a collaborative work environment, and providing opportunities for our employees to excel. In this crucial role, you'll play a key role in identifying and implementing automation solutions to streamline processes across our 5 facilities. You'll be the go-to expert for automation, working closely with engineering and production teams to improve welding, machining, and assembly operations.
What You'll Do
- Be a champion for automation – identify opportunities, explore new technologies, and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Design, develop, and test automated equipment and processes, ensuring they meet production requirements and quality standards.
- Program new and existing automated equipment, optimizing performance and functionality.
- Analyze production data to identify quality issues, troubleshoot problems, and document improvement strategies.
- Lead the company's efforts in utilizing the MRP system (MieTrak Pro) effectively, creating reports, and ensuring efficient operation.
- Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
- Take initiative and ownership of projects, working independently and delivering results.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and manage your time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
You're a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Technology or Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in automation.
- Proven experience in Automation Engineering within a high-growth, fast-paced manufacturing or assembly environment.
- A strong track record of successfully implementing and executing automation projects to improve equipment startup and overall productivity.
- Experience with various automation technologies and a passion for staying current with industry advancements (a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
