An innovative, leading automotive and heavy vehicle component manufacturer has an immediate need for a Project Manager, based at their main plant located near Dayton, Ohio. This is a critical role that will act as a huge stepping stone for future opportunities as the organization is growing and looking for strong Project & Process Engineering talent that they can continue to develop for the future. In this position you will:

  • Have cradle-to-grave project responsibility for assigned projects
  • Utilize established processes to manage APQP and design activities on assigned projects
  • Work directly with customers and cross-functional internal teams
  • Ensure that all documents, samples, design support, design options and project deliverables are completed in a timely, feasible, and cost-effective manner
  • Manage new project development and launch
  • Provide support for key new business quotas, including sample development
  • Lead ECN change management process on assigned programs
  • Provide daily communication with new and target customers, as well as interaction with plant Quality Managers, Outside Sales, Quote Estimating, Advanced Purchasing, Customer Service, and other operations as needed

Our Client would like to see:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Engineering field
  • Proficient program management skills in an automotive environment
  • 5+ years of automotive manufacturing experience in Process Engineering / Project Management
  • Strong communication skills, ability to speak with customers, sales, vendors, etc..
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed towards objectives without supervision
  • Strong analytical skills along with working knowledge of manufacturing processes & procedures
  • Detail-oriented, outgoing, and self-driven personality that enjoys working in a team-environment
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Products, MS Project, CAD, & Catia
