Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager

 

A worldwide provider of technology solutions for the Energy Industry has an immediate need for a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to based at their flagship manufacturing plant, located in a beautiful area of Texas. This "High-Visibility" position will support all CNC machining operations with a large team consisting of Engineers, CNC Programmers & Toolmakers along with driving Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise a large team of 30+ engineering professionals
  • Will have cradle-to-grave manufacturing engineering responsibilities, supporting over 120+ CNC machining centers in high-volume production
  • Will make recommendations for and implement new machining technologies to help automate production in key areas of the plant
  • Will develop, coach & mentor internal engineering talent
  • Partners with all other departments including quality, supply chain, operations, etc...
  • Budgetary responsibility, continuously setting improved targets over the results and accordingly to business requirements
  • Champion a strong safety culture
  • Constantly drive continuous improvement efforts across the organization

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE a Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a strong preference for Mechanical Engineering, (Masters or MBA degree preferred)
  • Prefer a Six Sigma Black Belt certification and must have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and have regularly used / implemented Lean Initiatives
  • A minimum of 10 years of Manufacturing Engineering Management experience in a large, multi-shift manufacturing operation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Significant CNC machining experience required, specifically with milling and turning
  • Knows the latest trends and new technologies as it pertains to machining
  • Is data driven with strong analytical abilities and must also be innovative and decisive
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong employee relations and team building skills with a coaching, mentoring personality
  • Financial and general business acumen required
  • Demonstrated experience with problem solving
  • Significant experience driving a culture of continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, at all levels within an organization
  • Budgeting and forecasting along with strong computer skills
