Quality Engineer

In this position you will:

  • Perform Internal Quality System Audits to TS16949 requirements
  • Coordinate Quality Planning activities on new and/or changes to products and processes as well as shop-floor troubleshooting of quality problems
  • Coordinate activities for process monitoring and continuous improvements
  • Liaison between internal and external customers in problem investigation and corrective action as well as partnering with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to resolve issues
  • Verify that identified dimensions, both controlled and non-controlled meet specified limit
  • Assure that non-conforming materials are identified, and separated for acceptable production material
  • Proven experience and usage of Quality Tools such as 8D, 5Why, Root Cause Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, Six Sigma, Shainin Methodology, Look across to improve our internal/external indicators (PRR's, Scrap, Labor Variance, etc.)

Our Client would like to see:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Degree
  • Knowledge of TS-16949 Quality System requirements along with quality techniques such as; SPC, FMEA, 8-D, Control Plans and Corrective Action Requests
  • 2+ years of automotive manufacturing experience in quality engineering
  • Prior knowledge and experience with plastic injection molding and assembly processes
  • Statistical aptitude with strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of problem-solving techniques along with PPAP & APQP experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
