We’re seeking an ambitious Quality Manager to lead all things quality for 3 local manufacturing plants.
SUMMARY:
Do you have a passion for ensuring top-notch quality standards? As a Quality Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in upholding excellence within our organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Quality, you'll have the authority to identify and swiftly address any quality-related concerns.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Spearheading the development and maintenance of a robust quality system that aligns with industry standards.
Overseeing the management of ISO 9001 system certification, ensuring seamless external audits and timely closure of corrective actions.
Taking charge of our warranty policy program, collaborating closely with sales and customer service to deliver optimal outcomes for our customers.
Proactively investigating and resolving customer complaints, implementing effective solutions through continuous improvement methodologies like kaizen.
Leading cross-functional teams in resolving field failure issues, prioritizing quality every step of the way.
Collaborating with our supply chain to drive supplier quality efforts and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Resolving manufacturing quality concerns by harnessing the power of quality improvement tools and methodologies.
Driving a culture of continuous improvement through Lean principles, Kaizen events, and Six Sigma tools.
Establishing and implementing standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Conducting thorough quality-engineering reviews of design documentation to ensure compliance.
Monitoring and analyzing data from quality control and assurance activities, taking proactive measures to minimize losses.
Keeping management abreast of significant quality issues and initiatives for improvement.
Directing inspection and testing activities to maintain stringent control over materials, facilities, and products.
Staying updated on relevant industry quality codes and standards.
Designing and delivering quality training programs for key personnel and new hires.
Crafting and monitoring a roadmap for enhancing our Quality System to ensure reliability for future projects.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in quality management.
Strong planning, leadership, and coaching abilities.
Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 standards and industry-specific quality standards.
Experience with quality improvement tools such as Kaizen, PPAP, APQP, 8D’s and Six Sigma methodologies.
Advanced knowledge of quality systems and tools, including Lean principles and statistical process control.
Certification as an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is preferred.
Knowledge of weld inspection, metallurgical lab practices, and metal fabrication processes.
Familiarity with database development tools like Microsoft Access.
Excellent communication skills and a knack for quantitative analysis.
