Position Summary: As the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving automotive excellence. Leading a team of 600 professionals in a 3-shift operation, you'll oversee all plant operations, including Metal Stamping, Welding, Painting & Assembly production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance & Facilities, and other production-related activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Direct and manage the production operation, inspiring and guiding a team of 600 employees toward success.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with department heads to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Financial Management: Develop and implement business plans and budgets to optimize financial performance.
  • Performance Standards: Establish and monitor high standards for plant performance in production and quality.
  • Efficiency Optimization: Minimize labor overtime and repair expenses to ensure smooth operations.
  • Safety Culture: Integrate safety procedures into all aspects of production, prioritizing Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, and Efficiency (SCORE).
  • Employee Morale: Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team-oriented approaches.
  • Leadership Development: Provide leadership training to surpass company goals and objectives.
  • Decision Making: Participate in corrective action, counseling, and employment-related decisions with decisiveness.
  • Flexibility: Embrace additional responsibilities as needed to meet evolving challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or other Technical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Plant / Operations Management within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Technology Proficiency: Strong computer skills are essential.
  • Leadership Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Prefer candidates with prior experience working for a Japanese owned automotive supplier.
